Swine Flu Outbreak Could Be World Wide Pandemic

Swine Flu

Whilst most of the worlds population were blissfully unaware of the Swine Flu Outbreak until a few days ago, there have been thousands of people watching what is happening for more than a few weeks using the breaking news available on the net.

Swine flu has been officially reported about by the UK mainstream media for a couple of days now whereas I was first aware of the outbreak more than a week ago by monitoring the online reports.  It seems that although the press are quick to give sensational headlines such as “Deadly Mexican Swine Flu Sparks High Alert As More Cases Confirmed In Mexico And US” when you read the text it almost gives you a downplay of what is happening.

There are so many varying reports around the world of actual numbers of people confirmed dead or infected that it’s hard to know which way this outbreak is heading.  Some are claiming that 80 or so people have died with thousands more infected whilst some are claiming that the real number of confirmed dead from the swine flu virus is more than 200.

To be completely honest I don’t know the real numbers and I doubt that we ever will.  What I personally find most concerning is the CDC (government body set up to contain viruses spreading) has reportedly stated that it’s too late to contain the latest swine flu outbreak.  How is it possible for such a well funded agency to fail before they even start?

Another worrying statement made on the latest swine flu outbreak is reported by the Associated Press claiming that this is a new strain never seen before.  There is literally no way to fight the latest outbreak as it seems to mutate quickly.

One thing that we should all keep in mind is the fact that there are reports of people already recovering from the infection of Swine Flu.

More to come soon……
