As the couple first confirmed of having Swine Flu in the UK are released from hospital after making an almost full recovery from the infection, a further three cases are confirmed. It was also reported today that the woman from Manchester who was suspected of having Swine Flu was given the all clear.
The three new cases of confirmed Swine Flu in the UK bring the total number of confirmed cases to 8 with hundreds more cases suspected and being tested.
Out of the eight cases in the UK one in the North East and two further cases in London. Of the latest cases the three people were thought to be responding well to treatment at home. One of the cases is thought to live with students in the North East.
This also comes as reports rise of increased illness in Swine Flu cases around the world. In America doctors are saying that the level of seriousness they are seeing is getting worse and are starting to look like the outbreak in Mexico.
At a time when the country is being told to stay calm there are more reports coming out of a much worse situation going on in Mexico than first thought. As Mexico shuts down Mexico City urging people to stay at home in an attempt to contain the virus, there are reports coming through that hospitals are struggling to cope with those affected by Swine Flu and the real numbers of dead could be up to 25 times that being reported.
The drug Tamiflu that is being used to fight the confirmed cases in the UK and around the world is also underfire today on the internet.
